Federal prosecutors have charged the person who was noticed with a gun outdoors of former Donald Trump’s golf course with tried assassination of a presidential candidate.
The indictment, unsealed Tuesday, alleges that Ryan Wesley Routh “did deliberately try to kill Former President of the USA Donald J. Trump, a significant Presidential candidate” when he was camped out close to the place Trump was {golfing} on Sept. 15 in West Palm Seashore, Florida.
Routh had beforehand been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial quantity.
