Ford gross sales Q2 2024 edge 1% larger

Ford gross sales rose 1% through the second quarter over the year-earlier interval, led by a 5% achieve in truck gross sales, the automaker stated Wednesday.

Ford truck gross sales, which embrace pickups and vans, totaled 308,920 autos through the interval, the corporate’s finest second-quarter efficiency for the class since 2019, Ford stated. Gross sales in its F-Collection totaled 199,463 autos.

Gross sales of Ford electrical autos totaled 23,957 through the second quarter, up 61%. The automaker stated its EVs, particularly the Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning, are drawing new prospects to the corporate.

In the meantime, gross sales of hybrid autos totaled 53,822, a rise of 56% and a brand new quarterly gross sales file for Ford because it started providing hybrid fashions greater than 20 years in the past, it stated.
